Founded in 1860, CASA ALMIRALL is one of the oldest and best-preserved establishments in Barcelona. The antique decoration recalls the relaxed, bohemian atmosphere of the 19^th century. With the elegance inherent to Modernisme, the typical architectural style of the era in Catalonia, the bar combines wood and marble with harmonious, evocative results.

CASA ALMIRALL has two main areas separated by a partition. The first space retains the original decor, which has undergone little change since the establishment was founded. The second space, resulting from a transformation of the old back room in 1977, is furnished with low tables, armchairs and cushions.

Since it was founded, CASA ALMIRALL has been a popular meeting place for several generations of the city’s populace.
